BARRY SHRIER, CEO LIBERTY ELECTRIC CARS, television interview

Barry Shrier is also known as the founder of Liberty Electric Cars. In 2007, Barry began working in environmental protection and climate change, founding Liberty Electric Cars. Barry co-invented and patented zero-emissions technology, created to "speed up the roll-out of electric cars". He then founded the Zero Emission Vehicle Foundation, a trade organisation working to eliminate car pollution and therefore help to address global warming.

Barry Shrier was the founder and CEO, then Chairman of The Liberty Electric Cars group of companies. He designed, built and launched the world's first zero-emission high performance SUV; and grew Liberty into a multi-million business with global blue-chip customers including UPS, Lockheed Martin, Tescos, FedEx, McLaren and the British Government. In June 2012 he sold it to GACR, stock market valuation in excess of $100M, resulting in the founding investors earning over 90% compound annual growth.

Barry also founded The Electric Automobile Association (EAA), bringing together zero emission technology suppliers, manufacturers and others to facilitate networking and the exchange of ideas. He has also served as a Director of the Washington DC-based satellite venture LeoTerra, to launch a new constellation of low earth orbit satellites.

Barry Shrier is a well educated and charismatic Leader, with a proven Board-level general management track record demonstrating entrepreneurial courage, ambitious salesmanship, and passionate marketing flair. He is IT literate, with a robust love of the digital revolution.

Barry has founded and managed four businesses, and a Deutsche Bank subsidiary, and brings substantial experience including full profit responsibility, cost control & credit management, budgeting and forecasting, personnel management and motivation, managing investor relations, negotiation, etc.

In 2001, Barry was hired by Deutsche Bank to launch Paybox, the world's first international mobile payment system. Barry was Managing Director for the UK and European spokesman for Paybox and a leading speaker on mobile commerce.

Barry has an MSc in Philosophy from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Politics from Middlebury College, Vermont, USA.

Barry Shrier is a visionary business pioneer; a popular and charismatic public speaker, and has lectured to MBA level. He has given highly rated speeches at international trade congresses and academic institutions – where delegates have voted him as Best Speaker.
